Devotional from Pastor Tim
In a world that glorifies strength, independence, and self-sufficiency, weakness can feel like failure. But the Gospel flips the script. It tells us that weakness is not something to hide or fix; it’s something to embrace. Why? Because it’s in our weakness that the sufficiency of God’s grace shines the brightest.
Paul, who once prided himself on strength and credentials, came to see that “power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). He wasn’t exaggerating – he was living in a new reality where grace, not grit, was his source. That same truth is yours. You don’t need to have it all together. In fact, pretending to only leads to exhaustion. The Gospel frees you to be honest: about your struggles, your needs, and your humanity.
God never asked you to be strong enough. He invites you to rest in His strength. Being weak doesn’t mean being less spiritual, it means being real. Real about your need and real about His provision.
You don’t need to chase strength. You already have it – In Him. Let today be a day where you stop performing and start depending.
2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”
