What if the gospel is better than we ever imagined? So often, the phrase “what if” fuels our deepest fears—What if I fail? What if I lose everything? What if God is disappointed in me? But the truth of the gospel confronts those fears and brings freedom.

What if you are totally forgiven, right now? What if you have God’s Spirit in you and there is no distance between Him and you…no matter how you feel or what you’ve done?  What if God completely accepts you as you are and not as you think you should be? What if God never stops loving you? What if eternal life is about a quality of life in you and not a quantity of life for you? What if suffering, while part of the story, is never the end of the story? What if God is never angry with you? What if God is never disappointed in you? What if God has overcome the things that overwhelm you? What if the problems and pains in life are not hindrances to experiencing God but actually helps in doing so? What if God said to be holy because He made you so? What if your struggles don’t mean you’re failing but that you’re growing? What if being tempted does not mean you want to sin, it actually means you don’t? What if God has already won the victory over the things that seem to be defeating you? What if you are the apple of His eye? What if God will never punish you? What if God has no expectations of you? What if God is just thrilled with you? What if walking with God was more about your delight than your duty?

The good news is that these aren’t just possibilities—they are realities because of Jesus. For the child of God, all of these “what ifs” are exactly “what is”, not just one day in the sweet by and by, but today in the unshakable love of God!

Romans 8:31-32 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
